Terms and Conditions Christmas Windows 2026

1. Booking Confirmation

Submitting a booking form does not secure your installation.

Once your booking details have been reviewed and approved by Awol Creations, an invoice will be issued.

Your booking is only confirmed once payment has been received.

Christmas installation availability is limited. Unpaid bookings are not held and may be offered to another client.

2. Measurements & Pricing

Clients are responsible for providing accurate measurements of all windows included in their booking.

Pricing is calculated based on the measurements and information supplied by the client.

If the measurements provided differ from the actual dimensions of the windows, Awol Creations reserves the right to adjust the final price, artwork, installation scope and/or schedule accordingly.

Additional windows or areas not included in the original booking will incur additional charges.

3. Design Adjustments & Mock-Ups

Each design is adapted to suit the individual dimensions, proportions and layout of your windows.

The final installation may therefore differ slightly from the original collection design or examples shown online.

Scaling, cropping, spacing and repositioning of individual design elements may be required to achieve the best result for your window.

A digital mock-up will be provided for approval before production or installation begins.

Once the final mock-up has been approved, further changes may incur additional design fees and may affect your installation schedule.

4. Window Preparation

Clients are responsible for ensuring windows are clean and ready for installation.

Windows should be free from dirt, grease, adhesive residue and other contaminants.

If additional cleaning or preparation is required upon arrival, a cleaning or preparation fee may apply.

5. Existing Decals, Vinyl, Tinting & Window Film

Clients must notify Awol Creations prior to booking if the windows contain any existing decals, stickers, vinyl, tinting, window film, coatings or other treatments.

Awol Creations may be able to install over some existing materials; however, this must be assessed prior to installation.

Awol Creations cannot guarantee that existing decals, vinyl, tinting, films or coatings will remain unaffected during installation or removal.

Removal of pre-existing decals, stickers, adhesive or signage is not included unless specifically agreed upon prior to installation.

6. Access to Windows

Windows must be safely and reasonably accessible on both the scheduled installation and removal dates.

Clients must notify Awol Creations of any:

hedges, furniture, displays or other obstructions;
restricted trading or access hours;
shopping centre or building access requirements;
security procedures or inductions;
loading or parking restrictions; or
other conditions that may affect installation or removal.

Where required, furniture, stock, displays and other obstructions must be moved away from the windows before our arrival.

The client is responsible for obtaining any necessary approval from landlords, centre management or property management before installation.

Delays or additional work caused by undisclosed access restrictions or inaccessible windows may incur additional fees and/or require rescheduling.

7. Installation Scheduling

Christmas installations are scheduled by Awol Creations based on location, availability, access requirements and our overall installation schedule.

Preferred dates will be considered but cannot be guaranteed unless specifically agreed in writing.

Installation dates or times may need to change due to weather, access issues, production delays, illness or other circumstances outside of our reasonable control.

8. Removal

Where removal is included in your booking, Awol Creations will return following the Christmas period to remove the installation.

Removal dates are scheduled according to location, availability and our overall removal schedule. Specific removal dates cannot be guaranteed unless agreed in writing.

Clients must ensure windows are accessible and unobstructed for removal.

Printed Window Decals

The following additional terms apply specifically to Printed Window Decal installations.

9. Printed Decal Installation

Designs are professionally printed as temporary window decals and installed on the outside of your windows unless otherwise agreed.

Our decals are produced using professional-grade removable materials designed for temporary glass applications.

10. Printed Design Appearance

Your selected design will be adapted to suit the dimensions and proportions of your individual windows.

The amount of artwork visible, scale of individual elements and overall composition may therefore vary from collection previews, digital mock-ups or previous installations.

Colours may also vary slightly between screens, digital artwork and the finished printed product.

These variations are not considered defects.

11. Decal Care

During the installation period, windows should only be cleaned lightly around the artwork.

Pressure washing, scraping, harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaning products or excessive rubbing may damage the decals.

Awol Creations is not responsible for damage caused by cleaning, tampering, vandalism or misuse after installation.

12. Decal Removal & Window Surfaces

Our decals are designed to be removable from suitable glass surfaces.

Awol Creations takes reasonable care during both installation and removal; however, we are not responsible for damage relating to:

pre-existing scratches, chips or defects;
defective or deteriorated glass;
tinting, films or coatings;
non-glass surfaces;
previously damaged surfaces; or
undisclosed treatments applied to the windows.

Hand-Painted Windows

The following additional terms apply specifically to Hand-Painted Christmas Window installations.

13. The Hand-Painted Process

Hand-Painted Window installations are individually painted directly onto your windows by hand.

Unlike printed artwork, every painted installation will naturally contain variations in brushwork, linework, colour, positioning, scale and detail.

These variations are part of the hand-painted process and are not considered defects.

Digital designs, mock-ups and previous installations are intended as visual guides and should not be interpreted as an exact reproduction of the finished hand-painted artwork.

14. Hand-Painted Design Adaptation

Your selected design will be adapted by Awol Creations to best suit your individual window dimensions, proportions, frames, doors, signage and surrounding architecture.

Minor adjustments to composition, spacing, scale, colour placement and individual elements may be made during the painting process where required to achieve the best result.

15. Suitable Painting Surfaces

Hand-painted artwork can only be completed on suitable glass surfaces.

We cannot paint:

textured glass;
slats;
non-glass surfaces; or
surfaces that Awol Creations considers unsuitable or unsafe for temporary window painting.

Clients must disclose any tinting, window films, coatings or treatments prior to booking so suitability can be assessed.

16. Hand-Painted Availability

Hand-painted installations are a time-intensive service and have strictly limited availability during the Christmas season.

Submitting a booking request does not guarantee that Awol Creations can accommodate your requested number of windows, location or preferred dates.

Where the requested scope cannot reasonably be accommodated, Awol Creations may offer a reduced number of windows or alternative installation option.

17. Weather

Where painting is completed externally, installation may be affected by rain, excessive heat, wind, humidity or other unsuitable weather conditions.

Awol Creations reserves the right to postpone or reschedule painting where conditions may compromise the safety of the installation or quality of the finished artwork.

18. Caring for Hand-Painted Windows

Painted areas should not be cleaned, pressure washed, scraped, rubbed or exposed to harsh cleaning products while the artwork is installed.

Awol Creations is not responsible for damage caused by cleaning, tampering, vandalism, weather events or misuse following installation.

19. Painted Window Removal

Where removal is included, Awol Creations will remove the temporary artwork following the Christmas period.

Awol Creations takes reasonable care during removal and uses appropriate professional tools and techniques.

We are not responsible for pre-existing scratches, etching, defects, tinting, coatings or damage that becomes visible during or following removal.

Paint may settle into pre-existing scratches or defects in glass. Awol Creations is not responsible where paint becomes lodged in pre-existing surface damage.

Payment, Cancellations & General Terms

20. Payment

Payment is required before Awol Creations begins final artwork preparation, print production or scheduling of your confirmed installation.

Invoices are payable within 3 days of issue, unless otherwise stated.

If payment is not received within this timeframe, your booking may be forfeited and the installation availability offered to another client.

21. Cancellation

Christmas Window installations involve limited seasonal availability, scheduling, artwork preparation and, where applicable, custom print production.

Payments made toward confirmed Christmas Window bookings are non-refundable in the event of client cancellation.

If Awol Creations is unable to complete your installation for reasons within our reasonable control and an alternative arrangement cannot be made, you will receive a refund for the services we are unable to provide.

22. Changes After Booking

Changes to your selected design, number of windows, installation area, address, measurements, access requirements or scope after payment are subject to availability.

Changes may incur additional charges and may affect your scheduled installation.

Significant changes may not be possible once artwork preparation or print production has commenced.

23. Damage & Liability

Awol Creations takes reasonable care during installation and removal.

Awol Creations is not responsible for pre-existing scratches, chips, etching, defects, deteriorated surfaces, damaged glass, tinting, coatings, films or other conditions that existed prior to our work.

Any concerns relating to installation or removal must be reported to Awol Creations as soon as reasonably possible after the service has been completed.

24. Photography & Video

Awol Creations reserves the right to photograph and film completed installations for use across our portfolio, website, social media and promotional materials.

Clients who do not wish to have their installation photographed or published must notify Awol Creations in writing prior to installation.

25. Intellectual Property

All designs, illustrations, concepts and artwork remain the intellectual property of Awol Creations.

Designs must not be copied, reproduced, traced, recreated, distributed, supplied to another artist or installer, or otherwise used without written permission from Awol Creations.

Payment for a Christmas Window installation does not transfer copyright or ownership of the underlying artwork to the client.

26. Force Majeure

Awol Creations is not liable for delays or cancellations caused by circumstances outside of our reasonable control.

This may include severe weather, illness, emergencies, supplier or production delays, access restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances.

Where possible, Awol Creations will make reasonable efforts to reschedule affected installations.

If Awol Creations is ultimately unable to provide the booked service, the client will receive a refund for any services that cannot be completed.

27. Acceptance of Terms

By checking the Terms & Conditions box, submitting your booking request and proceeding with payment, you confirm that:

the information and measurements you have provided are accurate to the best of your knowledge;
you have authority to approve the installation at the nominated property;
you understand that submitting the form does not secure your booking;
you understand that your booking is only confirmed once it has been approved by Awol Creations and payment has been received; and
you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
